Day 1: From Nairobi to Amboseli – Into the Wild

Your journey begins at Wilson Airport, where you board a scenic flight to Amboseli National Park. It’s a short hop, just 45 minutes, but what awaits you is a world away from city life. As you descend toward Amboseli Airstrip, Mount Kilimanjaro rises in the distance, draped in clouds or shining in full view. This is where your adventure begins.

Upon landing, you’re welcomed by your guide and driven to Ol Tukai Lodge, one of the most scenic lodges in all of Kenya. Set in the heart of the park and surrounded by elephant herds, Ol Tukai is known for its wide open views of the savannah and its unbeatable backdrop Kilimanjaro itself. After check in, enjoy a delicious lunch with panoramic views, then settle in before your first encounter with the wild.

Later in the afternoon, you’ll set out on your first game drive across Amboseli’s open plains and swampy springs. You’ll likely spot elephants dozens of them along with giraffes, zebras, and even big cats. As the sun dips behind the mountain, casting golden light across the landscape, your guide will lead you to the best spots for photographs and close wildlife sightings. Return to the lodge as the stars begin to emerge, and enjoy a hearty dinner under the African night sky.

Day 2: The Hot Air Balloon Safari – Above Elephants and Below Kilimanjaro

Before dawn, while the park is still asleep, you’ll be picked up for the highlight of your safari: the hot air balloon experience. There’s a sense of magic in the air as you arrive at the launch site. The balloon inflates as darkness slowly gives way to first light, and just as the sun begins to rise, you gently lift off the ground.

What follows is a moment you’ll never forget. You float silently above the awakening savannah, watching herds of elephants make their morning journey, giraffes browsing treetops, and birds rising in flocks. Below you, the land stretches endlessly, golden and wild. Ahead of you, Mount Kilimanjaro glows in the morning light silent, powerful, and impossibly beautiful.

This is not just a balloon ride. It’s a moment of total stillness, perspective, and awe.

After about an hour in the air, your pilot guides the balloon to a gentle landing, where a bush breakfast awaits in the middle of nowhere. You’ll dine in the wild, with fresh coffee, fruit, pastries, and champagne to toast your flight, surrounded by untamed nature and unforgettable views.

Later in the morning, return to the lodge for some well earned rest. You may choose to relax on your private veranda, cool off in the pool, or simply enjoy the peace of the park. In the afternoon, head out for your second game drive, exploring new areas and searching for lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and Amboseli’s famous elephant families once more.

Back at the lodge, your final evening is yours to savor. Perhaps a sundowner drink as the sky turns orange, followed by dinner and stories around the fireplace. If the night is clear, you’ll be treated to a spectacular canopy of stars stretching over the savannah.

Day 3: Farewell to the Wild

On your final morning, wake up to the sounds of Amboseli one last time.
