DAY 1: NAIROBI TO OL PEJETA: THE ADVENTURE BEGINS

Your Ol Pejeta safari begins with an early morning pick-up by Afrisun Tours and Travel from your hotel or residence in Nairobi. After a short safari briefing, embark on a scenic 3.5-hour drive north, passing rolling tea and coffee farms before catching your first glimpse of Mount Kenya’s snow-capped peaks.

Arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy just in time for a welcome drink and check-in at your lodge or luxury tented camp. After a delicious lunch, you’ll head out for your first afternoon game drive.

This initial safari introduces you to Ol Pejeta’s rich biodiversity: elephants, buffalo, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and the famed Big Cats lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Unlike in larger parks, Ol Pejeta offers a more intimate wildlife experience with fewer crowds and expertly managed conservation practices.

As the golden sun dips over the horizon, return to your accommodation for dinner under the stars. Your evening ends with a cozy night around the campfire or relaxing in your room, with Afrisun Tours and Travel ensuring every detail is handled for your comfort.

DAY 2: FULL DAY IN OL PEJETA: CONSERVATION MEETS ADVENTURE

After breakfast, prepare for a full day of exploration in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This is more than just a safari it’s an immersive experience in conservation, education, and wildlife protection. With your Afrisun Tours and Travel guide, begin the day by tracking rhinos at sunrise. Ol Pejeta is home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and is the only place on the continent where you can see the last two remaining northern white rhinos. Visit their protected enclosure and learn from rangers about the daily efforts to protect them from extinction.

Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary:
Later, visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where rescued chimpanzees are rehabilitated. DAY 3: FINAL SAFARI DRIVE & RETURN TO NAIROBI
