DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI
Upon arrival in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax or explore a bit of Nairobi.
DAY 2: NAIROBI TO SAMBURU
After an early breakfast, you’ll depart for Samburu National Reserve. The journey from Nairobi to Samburu is a scenic adventure in itself, offering a diverse and ever-changing landscape. As you leave the city, you pass through the lush Central Highlands, with views of rolling hills, tea and coffee plantations, and fertile farmlands. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at your lodge
followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight will be in the heart of Samburu.
DAY 3: SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK
A one-day tour in Samburu National Reserve begins with an early morning game drive, the best time to catch predators like lions and leopards as they hunt before the heat sets in. As the sun
rises over the rugged hills and doum palm-dotted plains, you’ll explore the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River, a lifeline for wildlife in this semi-arid region. Here, you have a chance to spot the Samburu Special Five, the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and the long-necked gerenuk, species found almost exclusively in northern Kenya. After a mid-morning break for breakfast continue with a relaxed drive through the reserve’s dramatic landscapes,
keeping an eye out for elephants, cheetahs, and abundant birdlife. In the afternoon, visit a nearby Samburu village for an enriching cultural experience, learning about traditional customs, dress, and daily life. Wrap up the day with a quiet moment by the river, taking in the unique beauty and tranquility that make Samburu such a special destination
DAY 4: SAMBURU TO NANYUKI
After an early breakfast in Samburu, then depart for Nanyuki, enjoying scenic views along the way, including glimpses of Mount Kenya. Upon arrival, spend the afternoon at Ol Pejeta
Conservancy, where you’ll see the last two northern white rhinos, visit the Sweetwaters
Chimpanzee Sanctuary, and enjoy a game drive with chances to spot lions, elephants, and more. After the tour, check in at your lodge in Nanyuki for dinner and a relaxing evening.
DAY 5: NANYUKI TO MAASAI MARA
After breakfast in Nanyuki, drive about 6–7 hours to Maasai Mara, enjoying scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. Arrive by early afternoon, check into your lodge, then head out for an afternoon game drive to start spotting wildlife. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: MAASAI MARA
Start your day early with a sunrise game drive in the Maasai Mara, when animals are most active and predators are on the hunt. Enjoy breakfast in the bush surrounded by stunning savannah views. Spend the rest of the morning exploring the vast plains, spotting the Big Five and other
wildlife like cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeests. Return to your lodge for lunch and some rest during the hottest part of the day. In the late afternoon, set out for another game drive to catch the spectacular sunset over the Mara and observe animals as they become active again. Optional
activities include visiting a Maasai village to learn about local culture or taking a hot air balloon safari for a breathtaking aerial view. End the day with dinner and overnight at your lodge.
DAY 7: MAASAI MARA TO NAIROBI
After an early breakfast at your Maasai Mara lodge or camp, you’ll prepare for your journey
back to Nairobi. You’ll embark on a scenic 5 to 6-hour drive that concludes your unforgettable Kenya safari adventure, arriving in Nairobi with enough time to connect to your flight.
