ITINERARY

Day 1 – Nairobi to Lumo Conservancy
Your safari with Afrisun Tours and Travel begins with an early morning check in at Wilson Airport for your scenic light aircraft flight to Lumo Conservancy. In less than an hour, you’ll be descending over Tsavo’s rolling hills and landing at the Lumo airstrip. A warm welcome awaits as you transfer to Lion Bluff Lodge, perched high above the plains with breathtaking views stretching to Mount Kilimanjaro. After settling in, enjoy a delicious lunch and some leisure time before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. The conservancy’s open landscapes offer sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and an array of birdlife. As the sun dips below the horizon, return to the lodge for sundowners, dinner, and your first night in the wild.

Day 2 – Full Day Safari & Cultural Encounters
Rise early for a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active. After a hearty breakfast back at Lion Bluff Lodge, set off on a guided rhino tracking experience (subject to ranger availability), a rare opportunity to follow these endangered giants on foot alongside trained rangers. Later, enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to the lodge for a relaxed meal. In the afternoon, embark on another game drive, perhaps spotting lions, cheetahs, or herds of buffalo. For those interested in culture, Afrisun Tours and Travel can arrange a visit to a nearby Maasai village to learn about traditional life and conservation efforts. End your day with dinner under the stars and, if you wish, an optional night game drive to encounter the nocturnal side of the savannah.

Day 3 – Final Game Drive & Flight Back to Nairobi
Start your morning with Afrisun Tours and Travel with a final game drive or guided nature walk, soaking in the last moments of this serene wilderness. After breakfast at Lion Bluff Lodge, check out and transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Wilson Airport, Nairobi. By midday, you’ll be back in the city, carrying with you unforgettable memories of Lumo Conservancy’s wildlife, landscapes, and warm hospitality.
