At the heart of Kenya’s allure is its world-renowned wildlife. The country is home to iconic national parks and reserves such as the Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo, Samburu, and Lake Nakuru, where visitors can witness the Big Five alongside cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and the incredible Great Migration of wildebeests and zebras. DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI & CHECK IN AT PRIDE INN AZURE NAIROBI
You will be picked at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by a Van where you will be transferred to Pride Inn Azure. You will check in, have dinner, relax and enjoy the hotel amenities. Overnight at Pride Inn Azure.
DAY 2: NAIROBI TO SAMBURU
Depart Nairobi at around 10:00 AM and head to Samburu, approximately a 7-hour drive. Travel through Kenya’s central highlands, crossing lush coffee plantations and skirting Mount Kenya National Park in the distance. Stop at the equator in Nanyuki for a quick photo op and lunch en route. Arrive at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge, check in, and relax while taking in the beauty of Samburu’s arid landscape. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Shaba Game Lodge.
DAY 3: EXPLORE SAMBURU
Start the morning with a sunrise game drive through Samburu National Reserve, one of Kenya’s lesser-known gems rich in rare northern species such as the Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. You can opt for a bush breakfast at an extra cost or head back to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Enjoy the lodge’s amenities during the day, or take a nature walk along the Ewaso Nyiro River. In the evening, opt for sundowners at a scenic spot within the national park (additional cost). Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: SAMBURU TO LAKE NAKURU
After breakfast, check out and travel south through the dramatic escarpments and passes of the Great Rift Valley. Stop at Thomson’s Falls before heading to Lake Nakuru National Park, a protected sanctuary renowned for its flamingo-filled lake, endangered rhinos, and wooded escarpments. Arrive at Lake Nakuru Lodge in time for lunch, followed by a late afternoon game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for white rhinos grazing, lions lurking in the grass, and Rothschild giraffes browsing the trees. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Begin your day with an early morning game drive across Lake Nakuru National Park, where mist often hovers over the lake as flamingos shimmer in the rising sun. Return for breakfast or opt for a scenic picnic brunch by the lakeshore (extra cost). Later in the day, enjoy a guided birdwatching walk with a park naturalist, exploring the park’s rich avian diversity. In the afternoon, guests may enjoy high tea with panoramic views from Baboon Cliff (at additional cost). Dinner will include a Swahili cooking demonstration under lanterns and a star-lit sky. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
DAY 6: LAKE NAKURU TO AMBOSELI
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and journey through Nairobi to the southern plains of Kenya. You’ll pass Emali town as you approach Amboseli National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the horizon. Arrive at Kibo Safari Camp in the late afternoon and check into your luxury tented suite. Dinner will be served under canvas, with the sounds of nature surrounding you in the heart of this spectacular national park.
DAY 7: AMBOSELI – ELEPHANTS, VIEWS & CULTURAL HERITAGE
Start the day with a sunrise game drive in Amboseli National Park, where the early light creates breathtaking silhouettes of elephants against the mountain backdrop. Return to camp for breakfast and leisure time. You may relax by the pool or choose an optional cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village. After lunch, enjoy another game drive through Amboseli’s wetlands and open savannahs, ending the day with sundowners near Observation Hill (optional). Dine under the stars and reflect on your journey across Kenya’s finest national parks.
DAY 8: AMBOSELI TO NAIROBI
Enjoy your final morning game drive in Amboseli National Park and return to the camp for breakfast. After checking out, travel back to Nairobi with a lunch stop en route. Upon arrival, you will check back into Pride Inn Azure to relax and unwind, marking the close of an unforgettable adventure through Kenya’s majestic national parks and diverse landscapes. Dinner and overnight at Pride Inn Azure.
